We chose a room in the Old House on the top floor, and it was a lovely big room, with a very large bathroom. Room was lovely and warm, quiet. There was plenty of tea, coffee, biscuits and fresh milk in the room. The grounds were lovely, in spite of the heavy rain the day before. Lovely area's to sit with a coffee, and the food was fairly good, just a little below par on the Carvery side. All staff were very pleasant and helpful. We will definitely go again. One thing I must praise, is the way staff dealt with any problems guests may encounter on their journey's home, as Hereford and the surrounding area's were very badly flooded, they issued guests with a map detailing the safe routes out of the area. This was very much appreciated, and we felt that the Hotel really looked after us!
Had a lovely time here and are going again in October. Nice room and food excellent. plenty to do ,indoor bowls, putting competition, and a quize every day also a maze. Nice shop with lovely gifts. 2 trips Hereford and Worcester. There was also a,jewellery sale and I bought a nice necklace. Would certainly recommend.
Could not ask for more, very relaxing weekend. Food good entertainment good staff excellent. No children as advertised could not fault. The house is just like Downton abbey grounds well maintained and kept to a high standard.
This is our second visit to Holme Lacy, the first time was in 2013 when I was impressed with the buildings, lovely lounges overlooking the gardens and the standard of entertainment from the resident team. Those things have not changed, the team that are there now are excellent, hugely talented and friendly with everyone.
Having been to most of the other Warner hotels I felt that the food at Holme Lacy was not as good as elsewhere, the buffet was very limited for evening meals,no fish being cooked to order among other things.
Visiting act J D King’s Elvis tribute was very good and he didn’t take himself too seriously. One of the reasons I had booked this particular break was to see Popwork again,I don’t know why they they didn’t come but the replacement 70’s group that came in their stead were awful. It wouldn’t be fair to name them but they need to sort their sound out ,the drummer was so loud he obliterated everything else.As the audience probably has average age of 70+ several left after a very short time.
Holme Lacy is in a beautiful part of the country, lots of places to visit. The grounds are lovely to wander round and lots of activities arranged during the day hosted by the wonderful Lisa who definitely deserves a mention.
