Royal Rooms at Holme Lacy House Hotel with more room than the Signature Rooms furnished with rich and sophisticated decor and large double beds.
fabulous break wonderful hotel set in glorious herefordshire countryside with beautiful views. good food lovely rooms and reception rooms. plenty of of interesting places to visit nearby Ludlow Hereford and Symonds Yat for example. Highly recommend.
Stayed for a weekend over Remembrance Day so we could go to the church in Felton to commemorate an ancestor killed in WW1 - first time for myself and husband but my mother has been many times (and says it is her favourite Warners). In our early 50s we were among the younger guests, but there were plenty of activities we could enjoy (if the weather had been better we would have done more in the grounds). The evening entertainment was good - we were there on a Motown themed weekend - and two out of the three signature acts were excellent. The food was good and plentiful, with enough for breakfast that we didn't need lunch (other than some liquid ;-) ). The chips on the evening buffet were the best I've had for a long time and generally the food was of good quality and well prepared - but no surprises - the plated dishes were slightly on the small side but there was nothing to stop you topping up from the buffet. We would go back, and would try other Warners hotels as it was excellent value and would make a good base for exploring an area.
Arrived in the afternoon. The receptionist was friendly, gave us direction to where our room is which is kinda long way bit nice to walk.
The food was nice but not hot enough. The waiters and waitresses were friendly and answered your queries regarding the food.
There are lots of activities daily. The entertainment at night was brilliant especially the Foxx.
The Hotel is easy to find. It is near to Hereford Town Center.
Haven’t been to this Warner’s before but as usual we weren’t disappointed. We had booked a Historic Room which was lovely, large bathroom & everything you need.
Food was very good with plenty of choice, (particular thanks to the Chef who cooked my steak!) The service was excellent, staff very friendly & obliging. The entertainment team & resident band were excellent as was the visiting artists. The grounds are beautiful & so large & well kept.. The only negative for me was there was no where with in easy walking distance except for a lovely old Church that was quite a walk down a luckily quiet road as there were no footpaths. All in all a wonderful break.
Don’t go to any Warner’s if you are young as they cater for older people & there’s nothing wrong with that!!
